Thank you for taking the time to respond to my story. i think it was George Bernard Shaw who originated the saying about two countries divided by a common language. I also do a food blog, and I recently posted a recipe for American biscuits - here in England biscuits are what we call cookies. I also mentioned other US/UK differences: diaper/nappy. faucet/tap, hood (of a car)/bonnet, trunk (of a car)/boot, eggplant/aubergene. and so on.

I shall have a look at your stories, starting with the one you suggest. Thanks
