Nice article. I recently posted about the defunct Bubblews platform, where like-for-like cliques could rack up hundreds of likes just by merrily clicking like for those in their cabal, and waiting for the return likes coming back. I like that Medium effectively records reading time, so multiple clicks won't work here.

An added bonus is that having no ads on Medium makes the reading process smoother, which encourages me to read more. Winner.
