My 100th Medium Story
It hasn’t been a great ride.
A rolling news channel, London, England. Mid afternoon, Tuesday 6th September.
Reporter: “The rain appears to be holding off as we await the arrival of the new prime minister Liz Truss at ten Downing Street. A small crowd has gathered at the gates, including, it has to be said, a faction of protesters. Larry, the Downing Street cat has been-”
Studio: “I’m going to interrupt you there, John, because we have some breaking news.”
Reporter: “Oh-”
Studio: “Yes, there are reports coming in that the arch blogger Joseph Yossarian has just published his 100th story on Medium. We’ve been expecting this news for some time now, but it looks like the moment has finally arrived. Obviously, this is a developing story, so details are scant, but I’m delighted to say that we have Mr Yossarian himself with our reporter Mike Crumbum. Mike.
Mike: “Yes, Tom, I have Joseph Yossarian here with me right now, his pencil still smoking after what has been a monumental effort. So, Joseph, tell me how you feel.”
Joseph: “Relieved. It’s a landmark I needed to get out of the way.”
Mike: “What exactly did you write about to get to 100 posts?”
