And now, the end is near

And so I face the final curtain

My views and reads are down

So will I stay?

Well, that’s not certain

Imagine there was a radio phone-in that had an audience of fewer than ten listeners. Do you think people would be falling over themselves to get on that show? Would it be worth a caller’s time to put forward an interesting take on, for instance, the demise of Liz Truss, when his efforts would be heard by about as many people as there are carved onto Mount Rushmore?

Nah.

Medium’s imminent demise

It’s getting that way with me now. A steady, seemingly unending stream of poor stats has all but extinguished the spark that kept me going. I am resolute, and thick-skinned enough to battle on through the lack of engagement with my work -been there, done that- but that’s only part of the story. For what has happened lately is that I’ve become weary of it all; bored, if you will. I’ve only been on this platform since May…
