Dismal Stats

Are your stats as dismal as mine in the graphic above? I seem to be spending a lot of time writing and publishing carefully worded stories, only for them to attain single figure views; a poor return for the effort expended. As I’ve said before, I get it that no-one has a god-given right to earn on Medium, but from what I’ve read on here, I think my work is worth more than one or two views.

But maybe your answer to the question above is yes, my stats are that bad. After all, while those who are doing well will shout their stats from the rooftops, those of us in the single-figures club tend to keep our poor performing efforts to ourselves, while we keep publishing in the hope that our fortunes will change.

And they can. I’ve read several reports of mediocre traffic getting a sudden spike, which, on the stats screenshot they post, stands out like the Eiffel Tower on the Paris skyline. So, what’s the secret?
