A very interesting read, and I do empathise. Here in the UK, my gas and electricity payments have shot up, making it much harder for mr to get through the month. I stock up on things like rice, pasta, lentils flour and oats to make sure I'll manage. Shoplifting was already rife in this town, so I don't know if it has risen lately (the government introduced a policy whereby thefts of less than £200 value will not be prosecuted - giving a green light to thieves).
